POSITION PURPOSE
The Accountant II position is responsible for supporting the organization's accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, assisting with the monthly financial close, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and healthcare accounting standards. This position works collaboratively with departments across the organization to support financial integrity and provide timely, accurate financial information that supports our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare to our community.

Education:
Minimum two (2) years of professional accounting experience. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualifications Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner. Well-organized, efficient task management and attention to detail skills. Excellent customer service skills. Must have the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining calm, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent proficiency in computer software and applications associated with a business environment, including Microsoft Office. A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers. Preferred qualifications Experience in healthcare accounting or hospital finance. Experience with ERP or healthcare financial systems.
