Job Description The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company's financial records, ensuring accurate posting of transactions, and supporting timely financial reporting in compliance with Nevada Gaming regulations and company internal controls.

Core Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Prepare and post journal entries Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts Review financial data for accuracy and completeness Assist in preparation of financial statements and reports Support internal and external audits Process accounts payable and assist with payment management Assist with payroll entries and related reconciliations Identify discrepancies and resolve variances Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information Ensure compliance with Nevada Gaming regulations, internal controls, and company policies Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Card Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities Strong organizational and documentation skills Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of accounting or general ledger experience preferred Experience in gaming or hospitality industry is a plus
