Job description Sam Tell, an established, industry leading commercial food service distributor is seeking a motivated, experienced, professional to join its busy accounts receivable department located in its Farmingdale, Long Island location. Successful candidate will support Sam Tell's Contract/Equipment Division, working within our Credit group. We pride ourselves on teamwork, empowerment and customer commitment! This is a great opportunity for a self-starter with product-related accounts receivable experience.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for maintaining a schedule of active projects , specific monthly deliverables and submission timing, inclusive of AIA payment requisitions (AIA G702 and G703), waivers and certified payrolls. Work with construction payment management software such as Textura, Procure and GC PayComplete
OCIP/CCIP
enrollment for new projects Interfacing with general contractors, subcontractors, project managers/project administrators, sales personnel and other team members as needed. Working knowledge of sales taxes. Assisting with the preparation, processing, tracking and management of all project documentation. (Contracts, subcontracts, PO's, submittals, waivers, RFI's, RFP's, change orders and all other documents necessary for contract completion). Reconciling project summaries to the contracts and ERP/AutoQuotes details. Coordinating, compiling and submission of stored materials support. Collection effort on active assigned projects, inclusive of periodic retainage follow-up.
Qualifications:
Self-motivated with commitment to accuracy, timely delivery of tasks and initiatives Strong communication and organizational skills Experience managing shifting priorities and tight timelines among multiple projects Comfortable with the numbers, reconciliations and working with ERP Basic Excel knowledge Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Business related field -OR- equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of general AR experience, minimum of one year in related project accounting role Experience with AutoQuotes, a plus Experience with System 2000 (by VAI), a plus Prepared to work 5 days a week in Farmingdale office Salary based on experience
