UBS Arena is part of a larger redevelopment project at Belmont Park, which aims to transform the area into a vibrant entertainment destination with the opening of Belmont Park Village in 2024 and the new Belmont Park Racetrack in 2026. How to Make the Team We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Accounting Intern to join our team from September to December 2025. In this role, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience while supporting a wide range of accounting and finance functions including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, account analysis, and preparation for monthly and annual financial reporting. You may support multiple entities including the New York Islanders, Islanders Iceworks, Islanders Children's Foundation, and the Northwell Health Ice Center. No prior accounting experience is required, but you must be proficient with basic computer programs and ready to learn in a fast-paced environment. Show Us You Can Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations Analyze financial data with attention to detail Research budget and forecasting data Verify the accuracy of journal entries and financial documentation Provide administrative support, including data entry and document filing Handle sensitive financial information with discretion Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn Your Training & Talent Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college program studying Accounting and/or Finance. Awareness of and interest in the latest accounting guidance, pronouncements and emerging trends shaping professional sports Excellent writing and research skills Microsoft Office skills Where You'll Go The New York Islanders have offices in Floral Park, NY. You will be in the office 1-2 days per week
