Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Controller, prepares general ledger reconciliations, completes internal and external reporting, prepares and participates in outside audits and trains/mentor staff. This role plays a critical role in supporting the financial integrity and operational effectiveness of this nonprofit, community-based rural hospital. This position is responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring compliance with nonprofit and healthcare financial regulations, and contributing to financial planning and reporting processes. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting the hospital's mission of delivering high-quality care to a rural population. The Senior Accountant is expected to support and uphold the hospital's mission to provide accessible, high-quality healthcare services to the surrounding rural community, ensuring financial stewardship that enables long-term sustainability and growth. Flexibility to work HYBRID or REMOTE after new hire orientation.
EDUCATION
Minimum:
BS in Accounting
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum:
3 years computerized accounting experience
SKILLS:
Minimum:
Experience using a spreadsheet application to complete complex analytical review.
Preferred:
Healthcare experience, Experience with Microsoft Office products including word, excel and power point. FLH123
Compensation:
$72,500 - $79,440
