Job Description

Our client, a well-established NYC-based insurance defense firm, is seeking an Accounting & Bookkeeping Associate to join its team in Huntington, NY. The firm handles sophisticated matters including construction/labor law, general liability, insurance coverage, products liability, and appellate litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and audit preparation Generate financial reports (GL, balance sheets, etc.) for leadership Oversee billing processes and supervise billing team Manage accounts payable & receivable functions Support monthly/quarterly close, reconciliations, and journal entries Prepare payroll entries and financial/operational reports Coordinate with external auditors and consultants Analyze financial data to support strategic decisions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting (or related) + 2+ years' experience Strong QuickBooks and Excel skills required Highly detail-oriented and organized Strong communication and teamwork skills Law firm experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
