GENERAL ACCOUNTANT

JOB SUMMARY PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Process and record cash receipts, reconcile GL receipts to cash receipts schedule. 2. Collaborate with customers to correct any invoicing issues, to ensure timely payment. 3. Distribute accounts receivable statements to customers. 4. Ensure that the customer master data accurately reflects the customers purchase order/invoice data. 5. Assist with accounts payable and payroll to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely. 6. Support the proper filing of sales tax. 7. Monitor the cash flow reporting. 8. Support the development of financial forecasts. 9. Support month-end closing and monthly reconciliations. 10. Perform other duties as assigned and required. 11. Assist with daily and weekly journal entry requirements. 12. Support the processing and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial statements/reports. 13. Consistently observe and promote good accounting practices as well as site/corporate requirements for self, department, and all contractors, visitors, and guests. 14. Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential. 15. Maintain strong internal controls throughout the business unit to adequately safeguard the assets of the company and to identify potential risks in a timely manner. 16. Maintain and update internal controls narratives and documentation. 17. Provide support with annual financial statement audit. Complete requested materials on a timely basis. 18. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, opportunities for improvement, to identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES 1.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, plus 3-5 years' experience; ideally in an international manufacturing organization or related accounting or bookkeeping experience under supervision, preferred, but not required. 2. Experience administering external relationships with customers, suppliers, statutory and fiscal authorities, banks, auditors, and other third parties. 3. Firm understanding of the major principles and procedures associated with cost and general accounting. 4. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite, and SAP or other similar ERP system, preferred. 5. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. 6. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work. 7. Strong organizational and time management skills. 8. Effective communication and people skills.
SALARY RANGE
$70,000 - $85,000 per year. Bonus
