Job Description

Position Overview The entry level Accountant is an entry‑level, full‑time position responsible for supporting the accounting department with daily financial operations. This role is designed for entry level with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. The entry level Accountant will work closely with senior accounting staff to ensure accurate financial reporting, job costing, and compliance with company policies and construction‑industry standards.

Controller or Senior AccountantEssential Duties & Responsibilities Accounts Payable — Process vendor invoices, verify purchase orders, match packing slips, and ensure timely payments.

Accounts Receivable — Prepare customer invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.

Job Costing — Assist with tracking project expenses, labor hours, subcontractor costs, and materials.

General Ledger — Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support month‑end close.

Payroll Support — Assist with weekly payroll review, timecard verification, and union/non‑union labor reporting.

Financial Reporting — Prepare basic financial summaries, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.

Compliance — Maintain accurate records for audits, insurance, bonding, and regulatory requirements.

Administrative Support — Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
