SUMMARY/OBJECTIVEThe Indirect Tax and Compliance Accountant is responsible for the Companys sales and use tax, alcohol license, tangible tax, and other compliance and filings.
Liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issuesResponsible for responding to inquiries from regulatory authorities and coordinatingappropriate responses.
Ensuretimelycompliance with all annual and interim reporting requirements.
Prepare and review journal entries and perform account reconciliations,identifyaccount variances, and determine corrective courses of action.
Research rules and regulations and stay current with changes in tax/compliance law.
Applyand renew business licenses, sales tax licenses, and various other excise tax licenses for Florida locations.
Other duties as assigned.
Three to five years of experience as a tax and compliance accountant.
Proven and successful experience working at all levels of tax problem analysis, tax preparation, and resolution.
Requires general accounting work experience and knowledge of
Strong Excel skills arerequired.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis. Manual dexterity and coordinate are required over 50% of the work week while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.

QUALIFICATIONS
& SKILLSBachelors degree in accounting.Three to five years of experience as a tax and compliance accountant.
Proven and successful experience working at all levels of tax problem analysis, tax preparation, and resolution.
Requires general accounting work experience and knowledge of
GAAP.SAP
experience a plus.Strong Excel skills arerequired.
