Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle accounting tasks independently, ensuring financial records are accurate, timely, and properly maintained.
- Process vendor invoices and payments while monitoring accounts payable activity and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Manage customer billing, cash application, and account follow-up to keep accounts receivable current and organized.
- Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledger accuracy, and support account reconciliations.
- Coordinate month-end closing activities, including reviewing balances, updating supporting schedules, and finalizing reports.
- Utilize the desktop version of QuickBooks to record transactions, maintain accounting data, and generate financial information.
- Build and analyze spreadsheets in Excel to support reporting, reconciliations, and financial review.
- Assist with tax-related work, including sales tax support and preparation of information needed for tax return processes. Requirements
- At least 3 years of accounting experience with a strong background in full-cycle accounting.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple accounting responsibilities with minimal oversight.
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and journal entry preparation.
- Demonstrated success supporting month-end close and producing accurate financial records.
- Proficiency with the desktop version of QuickBooks in an accounting environment.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and work with complex spreadsheets and financial data.
- Knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return support is strongly preferred.
