Accountant Columbus, OH | $70,000–$75,000 + Bonus Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking for an opportunity where you can make an impact, grow your skills, and work alongside an experienced accounting team ? Our client is seeking an Accountant to join their team and play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and contributing to process improvements across the organization. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and wants exposure to more complex accounting functions. What You'll Do Perform general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Support financial statement preparation and consolidation activities. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Partner with internal departments to gather information, answer accounting questions, and support business needs. Assist the Assistant Controller with special projects, reporting initiatives, and process improvements. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and internal controls. Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 2+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or professional environment. Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. Real estate or property accounting experience is a plus, but not required . Strong Excel and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. A desire to continue developing professionally and take on increasing responsibility.
