MentorcliQ is looking for an Accounting Assistant to execute our accounting policies and processes to ensure we can meet our financial goals. This individual will work closely with our Sr. Staff Accountant and CFO to ensure that our books are kept up to date and accurate for quick decision-making and reporting. The Accounting Assistant must be detail-oriented yet efficient and have an understanding of GAAP. This role will require flexibility and the capability to learn new processes as business needs evolve. What You'll Do Manage accounts payables and maintain vendor records Entering vendor bills, coding, approving, requesting employee information, pushing transactions to NetSuite Executing weekly credit card payments Reconciling vendor statements, updating W-9s, tracking 1099s, and handling inquiries Categorizing daily banking and credit card transactions including customer payments Assist with monthly close processes such as preparing journal entries for accruals, prepaid expenses, and classifying expenses Work with MentorcliQ's Finance Team to ensure accurate financial statements Contribute to efforts to optimize current accounting systems and procedures Assist with annual audit preparations and tax requests Assist with maintaining internal controls, establishing and maintaining accurate record-keeping Manage office mail including managing the resolution process Perform other duties as assigned Who You Are The ideal Accounting Assistant will bring excellent analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles with the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment. In addition, you'll bring: 2+ years of accounting experience 2+ years of remote office work experience Bachelor's degree required; concentration in accounting or finance preferred Knowledge of corporate finance and other accounting theory, principles, and practices to include knowledge of GAAP Experience with multi-currency financial reporting and consolidation preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and hands-on experience with NetSuite accounting software and Salesforce CRM Experience working with Mac OS X in a professional setting preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables Strong priority management skills and high attention to detail Strong oral and written communication skills What's In It for You?
