Job Description

  • _What Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) contributes to Cardinal Health_
  • Practice Operations Management oversees the business and administrative operations of a medical practice.
Revenue Cycle Management manages a team focused on a series of clinical and administrative processes that healthcare providers utilize to capture, bill, and collect patient service revenue. The revenue cycle shadows the entire patient care journey and begins with patient appointment scheduling and ends when the patient's account balance is zero.
  • _Job Summary_
  • The Senior Coordinator, Revenue Cycle Management - Cash Application ensures that all incoming customer payments are accurately recorded, applied, and reconciled to keep accounts receivable up to date and support strong cash flow. They process daily cash, resolve payment discrepancies, research unapplied funds, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain clean, reliable financial records.
  • _Responsibilities_
  • + Enter and post insurance and customer payments to the appropriate account + Utilize insurance specific websites to locate EOB's and remittance detail to accurately post payments + Obtain lockbox and EFT information from the bank + Reconcile payments posted in customer accounts with deposits made to the bank + Research and post zero-dollar remits + Participate in ERA/EFT conversion for payers not currently enrolled + Research unresolved cash for posting to the correct account + Work a missing check log to locate checks that have been received or lost in transit •_Qualifications_•+ 3-6 years of experience, preferred + High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred + Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment + Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines + Excellent problem-solving skills + Strong communication skills + Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators •_What is expected of you and others at this level_•+ Effectively applies knowledge of job and company policies and procedures to complete a variety of assignments + In-depth knowledge in technical or specialty area + Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems independently + May modify process to resolve situations + Works independently within established procedures; may receive general guidance on new assignments + May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members •Anticipated hourly range•: $16.
75 per hour - $21.75 per hour
