Staff Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our client in Columbus, Ohio. This position is in the healthcare and social assistance industry and offers an excellent opportunity for growth, as it is a contract to permanent role. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and the ability to manage a variety of financial tasks with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all financial data is accurately recorded.
• Conduct thorough reconciliations of bank accounts and balance sheets on a regular basis.
• Maintain and analyze the general ledger to support accurate financial reporting.
• Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all deadlines are met and reports are completed.
• Utilize accounting software, such as Abila MIP, to manage financial data and generate reports.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Monitor and review financial transactions to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Generate and interpret financial reports to aid in decision-making processes.
• Support pharmacy accounting activities, leveraging industry-specific knowledge.
• Apply advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, for financial analysis and reporting.
