Controller / Accounting Manager Position Overview A growing, multi-site organization in Northeast Ohio is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative accounting team. This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting in accordance with

U.S. GAAP.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment , enjoys working cross-functionally, and is comfortable navigating change while maintaining accuracy and accountability. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end and year-end close processes Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances Assist with financial statement preparation and recurring reporting packages Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies Support inventory and cost accounting activities , including variance analysis Manage fixed asset accounting (capitalization, depreciation, disposals) Assist with external audits and respond to auditor requests Contribute to process improvements and internal control enhancements Partner cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, and other departments Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting Experience in manufacturing or multi-site environments preferred Strong Excel and analytical skills with high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally What You'll Bring Positive, team-first attitude with a willingness to jump in where needed Comfort working in an environment with change and evolving priorities Strong ownership mindset and accountability for results Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team Why This Role Opportunity to join a stable but evolving accounting team Exposure to multiple sites and operational finance High visibility role working closely with leadership Environment that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements Benefits found in job post
