Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations in Groveport, Ohio. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reviewing transactions, and helping ensure timely reporting across the department. The ideal candidate brings deep general ledger expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, ensuring completion within established reporting timelines.
  • Record journal entries and ledger activity with a high level of accuracy and attention to deadlines.
  • Review financial transactions and account activity to detect inconsistencies, investigate issues, and recommend corrections.
  • Complete bank account reconciliations and follow through on any outstanding variances.
  • Address internal questions related to spending, budget activity, and account-level financial details.
  • Monitor daily financial reporting, identify irregularities, and take corrective action to resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Contribute to interim and year-end financial reporting deliverables, including supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Support fixed asset accounting activities such as capitalization updates, disposals, write-offs, and related record maintenance.
  • Partner with internal and external auditors by preparing requested schedules, explanations, and supporting materials during year-end procedures.
  • Provide backup support for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other team priorities as needed.
