Cost Accountant

Job purpose The Cost Accountant is responsible for maintaining standard costing on 300-400 parts across multiple facilities, inventory accuracy, reserve recommendations and other general ledger assignments by performing the following duties. Duties and responsibilities Maintain Bill of Materials and Routings for multiple manufacturing plants Responsible for new part set up and changes in the ERP system, (SAP, IQMS, Plex) Analyze PPV variances monthly with adjustments to GL accounts Analyze LCM and E&O reserves monthly with recommendations Review monthly cycle counts and bi-annual physical inventory results for accuracy Prepare margin review analysis and recommendations for Sales Dept Provide continuous improvement on labor and overhead rate analysis and drivers Assist plants with Sales forecasting and production requirements as well as purchasing requirements to the Purchasing Dept Review and reconcile all Intercompany transactions between plants Assists in all areas of month-end close per requests Supports the budgeting and forecasting process Recommends enhancements to accounting systems to provide a more effective mechanism for processing accounting and financial information Supports special projects as assigned by the Director of Finance or FP&A Manager Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business field or five (5) years' experience
• Results-oriented, accountable, and highly organized
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Expertise with computer systems and software, including MS office and internet-based applications
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule Working conditions and environment Climate controlled office environment 95% of time, occasional time near production floor resolving accounting issues

$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
