S_178112 We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Controller / Accounting Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, cash flow tracking, financial accuracy, and internal controls across multiple related companies and real estate entities. In this role, you will manage an accounting team and execute management-approved capital plans. This is not a simple bookkeeping position; we need a proactive problem-solver who can own the details, improve systems, maintain over 50 check registers in Google Sheets, and keep the financial side of a fast-moving company organized. Responsibilities:
Cash Flow & Capital Plan Execution:
Track available cash, expected inflows, and upcoming obligations to manage day-to-day cash flow. Execute approved capital plans and coordinate the timing of payments, transfers, and reimbursements across entities.
System Management:
Heavy usage of Yardi Breeze Premier for property management accounting and QuickBooks for various operating companies, ensuring accurate records across all platforms.
Accounting Operations & Controls:
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, recurring ACHs, and intercompany balances while building stronger internal controls.
Team Leadership:
Directly manage, support, and review the work of the accounting department staff, providing coaching and creating accountability around deadlines.
Reporting & Compliance:
Review financial statements, assist a third-party bookkeeping team with monthly closes, coordinate with outside CPAs, and oversee internal 1099 preparation.
Working hours:
7:00 AM - 4:00
PM Skills:
Software Expertise:
Strong hands-on experience with Yardi Breeze Premier, QuickBooks, and Google Sheets.
Industry Experience:
Real estate, property management, construction, or development accounting experience.
Advanced Multi-Entity Background:
Prior experience handling multi-entity accounting and managing cash flow tracking tools.
Leadership & Education:
Experience supervising accounting staff, alongside an accounting degree, CPA, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Bachelors Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Professional Experience:
Prior experience working as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or in a similar capacity.
Core Accounting Knowledge:
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and internal controls.
Operational Management:
Proven experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close workflows.
Volume Handling:
Ability to maintain a high volume of check registers, bank accounts, and spreadsheets across many entities. Apply today!
