This role is foundational to our accounting operations, providing essential support for the maintenance of accurate financial records and the integrity of our reporting systems. The ideal candidate will be a high-potential professional with a strong grasp of accounting principles and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities General Ledger Maintenance:
Assist in the preparation and posting of journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Execute full-cycle AP and AR functions, including invoice verification, payment processing, and aging report analysis.
Reconciliations:
Perform monthly bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Financial Reporting:
Support the Senior Accountant in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Expense Management:
Audit and process employee expense reports, ensuring strict adherence to internal corporate travel and entertainment policies.
Audit & Compliance:
Compile documentation and provide administrative support for internal and external audits, as well as tax preparation.
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (utilizing complex formulas, Pivot Tables, and data analysis).
Professional Competency:
A solid understanding of fundamental accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Organization:
Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in a corporate accounting role or public accounting internship. Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus! Actively pursuing or intending to pursue a CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional designation.
