Full-Time, In-Person Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our organization. In this hands-on role, you will own full-cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, prepare check runs, and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain strong vendor relations. Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage customer billings, process incoming payments, monitor aging reports, and handle collections.
Payroll Processing:
Administer end-to-end payroll cycles accurately and on schedule, ensuring adherence to internal policies and statutory regulations.
General Ledger & Reconciliations:
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, maintain journal entries, and assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare regular financial statements, budget variances, and ad-hoc reports to support management decision-making.
Compliance & Auditing:
Maintain orderly financial records and documentation in preparation for internal reviews and external audits.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
8+ years of professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role.
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (equivalent practical experience will also be considered).
Technical Proficiency:
Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly advanced Excel skills).
