Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our services team in Toledo, Ohio. In this permanent on-site role, you will play a key part in managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting clients with their financial needs. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and maintain general ledgers to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in tax preparation and filing processes, ensuring adherence to regulations and deadlines.
- Process payroll efficiently and maintain accurate employee records.
- Collaborate with clients to understand and address their financial requirements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
- Support the development and implementation of efficient bookkeeping practices. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in public accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience in tax preparation, payroll processing, and bookkeeping.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide meaningful insights.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
