Costa Mesa, CA (Onsite) Contract Opportunity W2 Only | No C2C Arrangements We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing, project-driven organization on a contract basis. This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and project accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience working in NetSuite, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Perform month-end and year-end close activities Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure timely financial reporting Reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies Assist with project accounting, job costing, and work-in-process reporting Support revenue recognition and contract accounting processes Prepare financial analyses and management reports Assist with audit requests and documentation preparation Identify process improvement opportunities and help strengthen internal controls Partner with operations and other departments to support accounting and reporting needs Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 4+ years of progressive accounting experience NetSuite experience required Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Experience Construction industry experience strongly preferred Experience with project accounting, job costing, and revenue recognition Background working in a high-volume or project-based business environment Familiarity with work-in-process (WIP) reporting What We're Looking For A detail-oriented accounting professional who can contribute immediately Someone who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively A proactive problem solver with strong technical accounting skills An individual who takes ownership of their work and consistently meets deadlines This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant with strong NetSuite experience to join a dynamic organization and make an immediate impact within the accounting team.
