Project Accountant

Broadband Hospitality, a leading provider of hospitality interactive application development and technology services, has an immediate opportunity for a Project Accountant.

Job Description:

This position will be able to work with our accounting department and is responsible for conducting project billing. The candidate must have a strong background in accounting and a minimum of 5 years of working experience and be willing to work in our corporate office in Youngstown, OH.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of project milestone billing, including compliance with billing and collections best practices and procedures Creates job cost estimates based on contracts, build of materials, and change orders Maintains the accuracy of the information contained within the job costing system Reconciliation of project accounts receivable aging on a weekly and monthly basis Assist with the processing, application, and maintenance of client payments related to projects Communicates with clients regarding project billing questions Provides records of billing, payments, and billing adjustments Preparing and reviewing various monthly reports for analyzing project data Research various accounting issues Assist Accounting management with special projects

Qualifications:

Knows commonly-used accounting principles • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Proven flexibility, initiative, and self-reliance Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and systems Education and Experience Job cost experience preferred, contract billing experience a plus 0-5 years of cumulative experience, including general accounting, account reconciliation, journal entries, fixed assets, billing, payables, and report generation Experience in Microsoft Great Plains or Acumatica is a plus Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience is a plus
