Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for advanced accounting functions, financial statement preparation, regulatory reporting, technical accounting, and complex financial analysis. The position supports strategic financial initiatives and serves as a key resource for accounting compliance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepare monthly financial statements. Prepare supporting schedules for executive management and the Board. Perform complex journal entries. Complete account reconciliations. Assist with quarterly Call Report preparation. Prepare regulatory reporting schedules. Analyze financial trends and variances. Maintain accounting for daily funding & cash position. Coordinate with external auditors. Assist with annual budget preparation. Research new accounting guidance. Recommend accounting process improvements. Serve as backup to the Controller.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience required. Experience in Accounting/Business Administration or related area providing a working knowledge of accounting practices. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills Strong interpersonal skills: able to work well with a wide range of people. Strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules. Strong follow through on projects and deliverables. Demonstrate resourcefulness and ability to take initiative in development and completion of projects.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities: Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity. Frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment). Driving to client locations and other sites as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office environment.
