Company Overview Bounds Hay Co. LLC is a dynamic agricultural and transportation company based in Junction City, Oregon. We specialize in cutting and bailing hay and straw products within the Willamette Valley, serving both local markets and international clients in Korea and Japan. Our trucking division operates a fleet of semi-tractor trailers, hauling containers to ports and transporting bulk hay and straw products across the region. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Accountant to join our team! In this vital role, you will oversee financial record-keeping, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support our operational teams with accurate financial data. Your expertise will help us maintain transparency, streamline processes, and uphold the integrity of our financial systems as we grow. Duties Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using various financial software such as QuickBooks Online. Perform general ledger accounting tasks including journal entries, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations through meticulous documentation and internal controls. Conduct month-end closing activities, including bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation. Utilize Excel data analysis skills for financial reporting, budgeting support, and data entry accuracy. Handle confidential information with integrity while managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing through systems like ADP. Support tax preparation efforts by maintaining accurate records of transactions and assisting with audits or governmental reporting requirements. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger management. Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos or similar platforms. Knowledge of GAAP standards along with experience in governmental or non-profit accounting is a plus. Strong numeracy skills combined with excellent attention to detail for account analysis and reconciliation tasks. Ability to handle confidential information professionally while demonstrating effective customer service skills. Experience with financial software systems such as PeopleSoft or UltiPro is advantageous. Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel—for data analysis and reporting purposes. Pay:
$30.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
