Staff Accountant to support their finance team for a limited duration role. Anticipated employment length is 8 weeks with possible extension.Who We Are:

The purpose of the temporary Staff Accountant position is to provide leave coverage for the Staff Accountant. This position is responsible for maintaining financial records by tracking and recording transactions, updating the general ledger, preparing financial statements, reconciling bank statements, assisting with audits, budget, and close processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP). This position also assists the Controller as needed.Essential Functions:
Accurately record transactions and update the general ledger. Verify the accuracy of financial records by reconciling bank statements and accounts. Help develop annual budgets and financial projections. Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate people. Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records, and reports. Assists in compiling information and preparing responses to auditors during annual audits. Serve as backup to payroll. Performs other duties as required to support the Finance Department.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred. Two or more years of experience in non-profit accounting. Strong financial analysis skills. Working knowledge of GAAP and advanced knowledge of Excel. Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills. Highly organized and detail oriented. Strong work ethic and team player. Ready to join our team? and take the next step in your career.
