Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate records, managing tax filings, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely accounting records of company transactions. Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, federal excise tax, and annual property tax statements. Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance. Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure smooth financial operations. Review and verify accounting records for accuracy. Make prepayments for sales tax and federal excise tax as required. Implement best practices and internal audit procedures to maintain financial integrity. Assist in the calculation and verification of commission and bonus payments for payroll. Support the year-end independent financial statement audit. Understand customer needs and provide effective solutions. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience. Proven experience in accounting with a strong understanding of accounting/financial principles. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.
Salary:
$25-$35 per hour depending on experience

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
