Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our financial team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Your expertise will support our organization's financial health and strategic decision-making. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse accounting software and financial concepts, contributing to our mission of maintaining transparent and efficient financial operations. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements. Perform general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling. Conduct bank reconciliations, cash flow analysis, and journal entries to maintain precise financial records. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to aid strategic planning. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations where applicable. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms for daily operations. Prepare tax-related documentation leveraging experience in tax processes and regulatory reporting. Mentor junior team members in technical accounting practices and best procedures. Experience Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP standards. Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing, interpretation, and presentation. Hands-on experience with double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account analysis. Familiarity with SOX compliance, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices is highly desirable. Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft or equivalent tools is essential. Strong knowledge of financial concepts including accrual accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Experience working within public accounting firms or private equity environments is a plus. Ability to mentor team members effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in account reconciliation and financial statement preparation. Pay:
$57,281.32 - $68,983.96 per year
