Position:

As a General Accountant, you'll work closely with the accounting team to support the agency's overall financial operations. You'll perform a variety of general accounting and fiscal duties while helping to ensure the financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. Full-time position (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday Hybrid capabilities

Salary Range:

Responsibilities Include:

Gather, assemble, tabulate, review, and file budgetary and other financial data. Process accounts payable using allocation methods, issue checks via bill pay, and manual checks. Prepare and post bank deposits, make bank deposits, apply payments in SAGE & QBO, and monitor outstanding AR issues. Perform accounting functions including general ledger activities, reconciliations, and balance sheet account reconciliations. Review payroll, post the corresponding payroll entries to the general ledger, and reconcile related accounts. Post financial activity to spreadsheets for analysis and control; review for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and help resolve issues. Provide support to assist the Accounting Manager and the Accounting Analysts. Assist with start-up of new ANR clients. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the mission of ANR, NDC, and Donut Connection. Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the agency.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field 1-2 years of fiscal experience 1-3 years of experience working with computerized financial management systems Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and maintain confidentiality Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required Must pass a physical, TB, and drug screen Preferred Qualifications Experience with QuickBooks Online, Great Plains, and SAGE accounting software Nonprofit accounting or financial reporting
