Senior Accountant A client of ours is looking a Senior Accountant for a contract role to join their growing accounting team. This role will play a key part in the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working within a complex corporate accounting environment and be proficient with SAP and BlackLine. Responsibilities of Senior Accountant Execute and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances across multiple entities.
Perform lease accounting activities and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions.
Utilize SAP for general ledger, reporting, and financial analysis activities.
Leverage BlackLine for account reconciliations, transaction matching, and close management processes.
Support internal and external audit requests by providing required documentation and analysis.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.
Collaborate with finance and operational teams on accounting-related initiatives and projects.
Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls. Skills/Qualifications of Senior Accountant Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate accounting environment.
Strong understanding of month-end close processes and general ledger accounting.
Experience managing intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and consolidations.
Knowledge of lease accounting standards and related accounting treatments.
Hands-on experience with SAP required.
Experience using BlackLine for account reconciliations and close management preferred.
Strong financial reporting and account reconciliation experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
Knowledge of internal controls and accounting best practices.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner across departments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
