Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to serve as the primary accounting professional for a growing small business. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to ownership, offering the opportunity to have a real voice in the financial direction of the company. The person stepping into this seat will take over for a long-tenured team member of 11 years, making this a stable opportunity with room to grow. You'll be responsible for day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, budgeting support, cash flow visibility, and providing insight that helps guide the future of the business. Accountant Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management experience required Previous experience as a senior accountant, full-charge bookkeeper, accounting manager, or lead accounting resource preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and general ledger management Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll administration, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes Experience with QuickBooks, ERP systems, or similar accounting software preferred Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and financial responsibilities independently High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality Construction, contracting, manufacturing, or project-based accounting experience is a plus Accountant Responsibilities:
Own daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and key performance metrics Partner directly with ownership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning Provide financial insight and recommendations to support informed business decisions Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies Maintain accurate financial records, journal entries, and supporting documentation Support job costing and project-related financial reporting, as applicable Coordinate with external accountants, tax professionals, financial institutions, insurance providers, and other outside partners Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and applicable regulations What We Offer:
