Position Summary The accountant will be primarily responsible for the accounting function for the Sebring resort companies on site at Corle Building Systems office location. The Sebring companies encompass the construction activity at Sebring Resorts, which is a premier luxury lifestyle community in Sebring, Florida located just minutes away from the iconic Sebring International Raceway. The community includes custom motor garages for automobiles and RV's, three-story luxury townhomes, private plane hangars at the Sebring Regional Airport and a RV Resort with casitas. The accountant will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting construction-specific accounting activities, including job costing, project billing, and contract reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, construction industry experience, and proficiency in QuickBooks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. Track and analyze job costs, project budgets, and profitability. Assist with project billing, progress billings, and retainage tracking. Prepare and file sales tax and other required reports. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Coordinate with external CPAs and auditors as needed. Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist management with financial reporting and special projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting required. 3 to 5 years of accounting experience in the construction industry required. Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing and project-based accounting. Proficiency in QuickBooks required. Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with workforce reporting. Knowledge of construction contracts, retainage, and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting.
