Responsibilities:

Create and post journal entries using both accrual and cash accounting methods to keep financial records complete and accurate.
Examine financial statements, identify notable fluctuations, and research the drivers behind material variances.
Work with operations and accounts payable personnel to confirm transactions are assigned to the correct accounts and classifications.
Monitor accounts receivable activity and review tenant or customer ledger details to support accurate balances.
Complete monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies until outstanding items are resolved.
Assemble quarterly reporting packages for lenders and other stakeholders, ensuring information is organized and reliable.
Reconcile mortgage activity and record expenses such as real estate taxes, school taxes, and insurance payments.
Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes and assist with special projects and requested financial analyses.
