STAFF ACCOUNTANT
to join their team. Responsibilities Support month-end close activities, including preparing and analyzing financial results Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner Analyze financial activity, investigate variances, and support accurate and timely financial reporting Assist with inventory reconciliations, discrepancy research, and related reserve analysis Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly close cycle Maintain fixed asset accounting and reconciliations in accordance with company capitalization policies Research unusual financial activity and partner with leadership to resolve accounting issues Respond to accounting and financial questions in a timely and professional manner Contribute to the development of efficient accounting processes and strong internal controls Complete required training and perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes (preferred) Experience in a decentralized or operationally-focused business environment (a plus) Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large data sets and financial analysis Ability to understand operational drivers behind financial results and investigate unusual activity Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team Coachable, with a willingness to learn and grow in responsibility over time Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
