Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to support core financial operations for a Long-term Contract position based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This opportunity is well suited for someone who can manage day-to-day accounting activities with accuracy, maintain organized records, and contribute to reliable financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience across payables, receivables, reconciliations, and general ledger work while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and coordinate timely payment activities to keep accounts payable current.
  • Record and maintain financial transactions within the general ledger to support complete and accurate accounting records.
  • Manage customer billing and cash application tasks, following up as needed to help maintain healthy accounts receivable balances.
  • Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate detail and supporting documentation during routine accounting cycles.
  • Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items promptly.
  • Assist with month-end close activities by organizing account data, reviewing balances, and supporting financial accuracy.
  • Monitor accounting records for inconsistencies and work with internal teams to correct issues efficiently.
  • Help maintain compliance with established accounting procedures, documentation standards, and internal controls.
