Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Part-time Full-Charge Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience with diverse accounting software, and a proactive approach to financial management. As a key member of our finance team, you will work with our outsourced accountants throughout the month to perform all aspects of bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and contract reporting and supporting organizational financial goals. Duties Assist with full-cycle accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations using PROCAS accounting software. Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger maintenance to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist with journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and accrual accounting practices for government contractors. Support the development of financial reports, including detailed variance analysis and management summaries. Experience Proven experience as a full-charge accountant or in a similar role within corporate or non-profit organizations. Extensive knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting concepts Proficiency with accounting software for government contractors/government grants or use of job costing modules ; Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential - pivot tables, filtering, etc. Strong understanding of government contract/grant accounting practices is preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and financial analysis accurately. Experience with audit processes, regulatory reporting, budget management, and cash flow analysis is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
