We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Accounting Specialist to take ownership of critical accounting and financial functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is not an entry-level or support-only accounting role. We are looking for a proven professional who can independently manage core accounting processes, maintain financial accuracy, support ownership with meaningful reporting, and help drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-cycle accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and financial analysis. This individual must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, comfortable working with large amounts of data, and capable of identifying errors, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Key Responsibilities The Senior Accounting Specialist will oversee daily accounting operations and ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with company procedures. This role will manage accounts payable functions, accounts receivable responsibilities, Payroll processing, month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, financial schedules, and supporting internal financial reporting. This individual must be comfortable reviewing account activity, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues independently. This role will also support banking and cash management functions including daily transaction posting, bank reconciliations, cash monitoring, and assisting leadership with short-term cash flow visibility. In addition, the candidate will be expected to analyze accounting and operational data, prepare reports for ownership, identify trends, improve processes, and help strengthen internal controls. Experience in inventory, manufacturing costs, or industrial accounting is highly valuable.
