Research Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Accountant supports a fast‑paced, high‑volume order‑to‑cash environment. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, applying payments, performing collections, resolving billing issues, reviewing sales tax documentation, and supporting AR reconciliations and controls.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounts receivable experience in a high‑volume environment
Responsibilities:
Manage customer accounts and maintain accurate records in the ERP system Apply and reconcile customer payments (credit card, ACH, wire, lockbox) Perform customer collections and proactively follow up on past‑due balances Research and resolve payment discrepancies and billing disputes Process credits, returns, refunds, and account adjustments Review sales tax exemption certificates and apply appropriate tax codes Monitor AR inboxes and respond to customer billing and payment inquiries Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting to resolve account issues Support AR aging, reconciliations, and audit documentation Perform additional accounts receivable and accounting duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities:
3-5 years of hands‑on accounts receivable experience in a high‑volume environment Strong ERP system and Microsoft Excel skills High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Physical Demands:
Frequent sitting. Manual dexterity of fingers and hands. Occasional standing and walking.
