DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Evaluate business transactions and record journal entries in compliance with GAAP and company policies. Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, including supporting schedules and footnotes. Perform variance analysis, investigating and explaining fluctuations against budget, forecast, or prior periods. Collaborate with accounting, finance, and business unit teams to ensure proper transaction recording and to research and resolve variances or non-standard entries. Participate in the annual financial statement audit, providing schedules, support, and explanations as required. Respond to ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from management and business partners. Support process improvements and assist in strengthening internal controls within the accounting function.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience Or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or corporate accounting). Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems required (Infor M3 is a plus). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively across teams and with all levels of the organization. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
