Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are looking for a bookkeeper to support our corporate accounting operations in Kennett Square, PA. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily transactions, and assisting with account reconciliations and reporting. The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, have a high degree of accuracy in their work, and comfortable working in a busy environment with shifting priorities. This is a full-time, in-office role requiring attendance five days per week.
Responsibilities:
Record and categorize financial transactions accurately. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as assigned. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts. Assist with invoice entry, payment posting, and transaction tracking. Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and supporting documentation. Support monthly reporting and general accounting tasks. Investigate and resolve basic discrepancies in accounts. Use QuickBooks Online to manage bookkeeping functions. Prepare and enter adjusting journal entries as part of the monthly financial closing process. Assist the accounting team with other administrative and financial duties as needed.
Requirements:
Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred. Minimum 1 year of recent professional experience using QuickBooks Online. 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems. Strong communication and follow-through. Must be able to work full-time in office, 5 days per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with bank reconciliations and transaction coding. Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Prior experience in a fast-paced office or multi-location environment.
