Georgetown, KY Overview:
4 days onsite - 1 day remote Our client is seeking an Accountant with 2-4 years of experience to join its growing finance team in Georgetown, Kentucky. This role offers the opportunity to own the full accounting cycle while gaining exposure to complex consolidations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, excellent analytical skills, and a desire to grow within a stable organization. Candidates coming directly from public accounting are preferred, though professionals with a combination of public accounting and industry experience are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close activities. Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidations across multiple entities. Analyze financial data and investigate account variances to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests. Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. Partner with operations and other departments to support financial reporting and business initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance internal controls.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required . 2-4 years of accounting experience. Public accounting experience is preferred, but candidates with a blend of public accounting and manufacturing industry experience will also be considered. Experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close. Exposure to financial consolidations is strongly preferred. Manufacturing industry experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP accounting systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
