Position OverviewThe Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in changing environments while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.

Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations.

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Maintain general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of financial records.

Analyze financial data and investigate account variances.

Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting.

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Participate in system implementations, process improvement projects, and special accounting initiatives.

Collaborate with finance, operations, and business leaders across client organizations.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or multiple industry environments.

Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.

Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.

Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Dynamics 365, Intacct, or similar platforms.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
