Job Description

We are looking for an Accountant for a healthcare organization located in Torrance. The Accountant must bring strong accounting fundamentals, enjoys working through detailed financial activity, and can help maintain accurate records in a deadline-driven setting. The Accountant role supports core accounting operations, collaborates with multiple departments, and contributes to reliable reporting and continuous process improvement. The Accountant will be hybrid remote with primary working from home.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned close activities each month and help deliver timely, accurate financial results.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations while investigating and correcting variances.
  • Review general ledger activity, maintain supporting documentation, and assist with year-end reviews and audit preparation.
  • Reconcile bank activity and resolve outstanding items affecting cash balances and receivables.
  • Transfer, validate, and organize financial information across accounting platforms and reporting tools.
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable operations by reviewing transactions, resolving discrepancies, and confirming proper ledger coding.
  • Address complex customer account issues such as disputed invoices, unapplied payments, short remittances, and purchase order mismatches.
  • Work with internal partners and external contacts to resolve accounting questions and improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.
  • Provide guidance to team members on coding practices and contribute to workflow enhancements, automation efforts, and other assigned projects.
