Job Description

KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for an Accountant in Orange, California.
  • This role is fully onsite M-F and can potentially work from home on Fridays.
Position Overview An organization in the hospitality industry is seeking an experienced Accountant to provide hands-on support to the Corporate Finance and Accounting team during a short-term engagement. This role will assist with corporate-level accounting functions and support the accuracy and timeliness of financial operations across multiple properties and operational units. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who can quickly integrate into an established finance team, operate independently, and support core accounting processes including accounts payable, general ledger activity, and month-end close. Key Responsibilities A/P input, gl coding and invoice review, including data input and electronic filing. In part there is a vendor outreach project coming for a long list of new vendors for our newest hotel acquisition to obtain W9's and general vendor forms Some understanding of the meaning and importance of W9s and 1099s is a plus. Systems setup experience may come in handy - possibly general ledger and payroll Journal entry research, setup and execution Some account reconciliations Credit card reconciliations Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3 + years of progressive accounting experience, such as an Accountant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes Compensation depends on experience but is typically $40-42/hr
