Our portfolio includes Local House Kitchen & Bar, The Office Restaurant & Lounge, and Daddy's Chicken Shack. We are actively expanding Daddy's Chicken Shack through franchising and preparing to launch franchise development for Local House Kitchen & Bar. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Restaurant Accountant who understands the financial side of restaurant operations and enjoys being part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial organization. This is a remote/Hybrid position with the opportunity to play an important role in building the accounting foundation of a growing multi-brand hospitality company. What You'll Do You'll take ownership of the day-to-day accounting and reconciliations for our restaurant operations, working directly with senior leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable financial information. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting for three operating restaurants and related business entities. Assist in preparing monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and financial reports by location. Reconcile daily restaurant sales, credit card transactions, bank deposits, and POS activity. Complete monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely monthly closing. Track and report food costs, beverage costs, labor expenses, and other key restaurant operating metrics. Assist with budgets, forecasts, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis. Coordinate with payroll providers and outside tax professionals as needed. Report monthly and quarterly sales tax filings. Maintain consistent accounting practices across multiple restaurant entities. Help develop accounting processes and reporting systems to support future restaurant and franchise growth. Support franchise-related accounting, including franchise fees, royalties, and development expenses as the system expands. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including significant restaurant or hospitality industry experience. Demonstrated experience managing accounting for multiple restaurant locations or business entities. Strong understanding of restaurant P&Ls, cost of goods sold, labor costs, and operating expenses. Experience with general ledger accounting, accounts payable, reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting. Proficiency with QuickBooks or comparable accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a remote environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional communication. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Toast POS or other restaurant point-of-sale systems. Experience with multi-unit restaurant groups, franchise organizations, or restaurant management companies. Familiarity with restaurant inventory, food and beverage cost reporting, and payroll integration. Experience with intercompany accounting and multiple legal entities.
