- What You'll Do As an Accounting Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the financial operations that keep Whataburger running strong.
- Responsibilities As an Accounting Intern, you will: Assist with running reports, research, and basic financial data analysis Support monthly and annual close activities, including journal entries Review invoices and help maintain accurate financial records Contribute to routine, ad-hoc, and special accounting projects Help prepare work-in-progress and other internal reports Support audit requests and documentation needs Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiencies Communicate clearly and professionally with internal partners Take on additional responsibilities as assigned What You Bring to the Table•Required Experience As an Accounting Intern, you must have: High school diploma or GED Current enrollment in college with at least 15 undergraduate credits completed Coursework or foundational knowledge in accounting or finance Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools Willingness to learn, take feedback, and contribute positively Extra Toppings•Desired Experience As an Accounting Intern, we prefer you to have: Previous internship, work experience, or coursework in accounting or finance Comfort working with spreadsheets and basic data analysis Strong time-management and prioritization skills Interest in pursuing a career in accounting, finance, or a related field Curiosity about business operations and continuous improvement Where & How You'll Work This role is based at the San Antonio Home Office, working on-site Monday through Thursday with remote flexibility on Fridays.
