Accounts Receivable Accountant

A well-established organization is seeking an AR Accountant to support accounts receivable and credit functions in a hybrid role based in Chino, CA. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate receivables, supporting collections efforts, and partnering with internal teams to resolve account issues. This is temporary-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, hands-on AR experience, and is comfortable interacting with both internal stakeholders and external customers.

Key responsibilities include:

Manage accounts receivable for an assigned portfolio of customer accounts Interface with customers, branch personnel, and internal departments to support timely collection of receivables Monitor aged trial balance and receivable management reports and take appropriate collection actions Provide ongoing follow-up and monthly coverage for delinquent accounts Research and resolve billing disputes related to pricing, freight, purchase orders, returns, quantity discrepancies, and credits Prepare and process adjustments to clear receivable balances, including discounts, offsets, and miscellaneous items Coordinate with cash application to ensure accurate posting of customer payments Initiate customer outreach to properly apply on-account payments to open invoices Prepare refund documentation and obtain required internal approvals Support credit reviews and provide documentation for customer credit limit evaluations Assist with customer statements, documentation, and compliance-related requests Coordinate account escalations and third-party collections when necessary Maintain accurate records and documentation related to customer balances and activity Support ad hoc AR and accounting projects as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required Minimum of 2 years of accounts receivable or AR-focused accounting experience Strong understanding of AR processes, reconciliations, and collections Experience working with ERP systems and strong Excel skills Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills This is a hybrid position located in Chino, CA. Compensation is competitive and based on experience. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
