This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial records in accordance with Mexican Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (NIF), SAT regulations, and company's internal policies. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role partners closely on consolidation, reporting, and financial oversight across entities. The Administrative Accountant also supervises a Receivables & Customer Experience Clerk, ensuring effective collections processes and professional client financial communications. This position is based in the United States and requires strong expertise in Mexican accounting and tax compliance frameworks. Key Responsabilities General Ledger & Month-End Close Own and maintain the complete general ledger for the Encore Mexico entity, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in alignment with NIF and internal reporting timelines. Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and depreciation schedules. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain fixed asset registers, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals. Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice validation, matching, and payment scheduling. Supervise the Receivables & Customer Experience Clerk, providing guidance on collections and account management. Monitor accounts receivable aging and escalate overdue balances as needed. Maintain accurate vendor and customer master data. Mexican Tax Compliance Prepare and file all required SAT tax declarations (IVA, ISR, DIOT, annual returns). Manage payroll tax compliance (IMSS, INFONAVIT, and payroll tax) in collaboration with external providers. Oversee electronic invoicing (CFDI) to ensure compliance with Mexican regulations. Maintain electronic accounting records and submit required reports to SAT (chart of accounts, trial balance, journal entries). Support SAT audits, electronic reviews, and compliance requirements. Stay current on regulatory changes (CFF, LISR, LIVA). Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow). Provide variance analysis and insights for management review. Support budgeting and forecasting processes with data and analysis. Perform intercompany reconciliations and support consolidation activities. Treasury & Cash Management Manage cash positioning and prepare weekly cash flow forecasts. Execute vendor payments and intercompany transfers with proper approvals. Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Monitor foreign exchange exposure and escalate risks. Internal Controls & Compliance Maintain internal controls in line with company policies. Enforce segregation of duties within the finance process. Support audit activities by preparing documentation and reconciliations. Identify control gaps and recommend improvements. Systems & Process Improvement Act as the primary administrator of the accounting system for the Mexico entity. Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate on cross-entity reporting and system integration initiatives. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise the Receivables & Customer Experience Clerk. Provide training, performance guidance, and oversight of daily activities. Develop structured processes to ensure consistency and scalability. Quaifications & Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably supporting international or Mexico-based operations. Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting (NIF) and tax regulations (SAT) is required.
Skills & Comperencies Bilingual:
Fluent in English and Spanish (required). Strong understanding of both Mexican and U.S. accounting principles . Ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-border environments. High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
