Overview Department Overview The Accounting and Finance Division supports the company's financial performance by developing innovative ways to save time and money, as well as providing timely and accurate financial reports for strategic business decisions. Primary Responsibilities This position assists with various functions within the Accounting/Reporting Department which primarily include: Performing professional accounting work (e.g. in-depth analysis, financial statement preparations, etc.) to ensure management is provided with accurate, comprehensive financial information. Staying abreast of statutory accounting guidance and advising management accordingly. Providing management with analyses, recommendations, and information concerning financial activities Summary of Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Minimum of two years of accounting experience Experience preparing and analyzing financial information Interpersonal skills to work with technical and non-technical management and staff Experience working independently or as a team member to resolve problems Experience communicating effectively orally and in writing to document financial information in a concise and thorough manner Presentation skills and good interpersonal skills Technical skills necessary to learn accounting software Organizational skills necessary to manage multiple tasks with various priorities Experience utilizing and researching statutory accounting principles is preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred Experience with government contracting accounting preferred Experience utilizing and researching the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and/or Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) preferred Experience with WorkDay is preferred
