Full Job Description Summary of Job Description:
The CFT Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with the monthly close, including preparation of lead schedules, preparing and posting of journal entries, and maintenance of the general ledger. This position is also responsible for monthly bank reconciliations, A/R, A/P, CAM reconciliations and various ad hoc projects. You'll get a chance to: Prepares monthly bank reconciliation for all entities and reviews outstanding checks. Posts daily investment related distribution receipts and capital calls received from partners in Yardi. Processes and verifies accuracy of tenant and non-tenant payment and codes and enters the data into the accounting system. Notifies the property management team of any receivable discrepancies. Responsible for accounts payable for all operations, investment, and G&A entities. Reviews invoices, bills, vouchers, or other documents and enters them into the applicable accounting software for routine and urgent check request. Oversees and records daily on-line accounts payable activities. Calculates and allocates appropriate CAM expenses to tenants as defined by lease terms and performs annual reconciliation, coordinating with property management and leasing departments. Assists with the monthly close, including preparation of lead schedules, preparing, and posting of journal entries, and maintenance of the general ledger. Assists in implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures. Collaborates and coordinates across various departments to obtain necessary documentation. Performs research on various accounting issues and prepares proposed AJE (Adjustment to Journal Entry).How we reward you:
